This question can't be anwsered in general, because there are
many factors that have to be taken into account (e.g. your V settings,
your screenmode - size, numbers of colours - gfx card or not,
...)

But one may say:

          - although the Amiga is an multitasking
            environment, disable all background tasks
you really don't need, especially the gfx tasks

          - minimize the offered features of V
            (disable JavaScript log mechanism,
             disable JavaScript error messages,
and if you don't mind disable JavScript completely,
             disable the transfer animation,
             disable the HTML error requesters,...)

          - minimize the memory cache and disable
            caching the images
(the whole thing then gets a bit slower...)

          - reduce your screen resolution and number
of colors used by the V screen

The last two items might be the one's with the greatest effect.

JFYI, here:

        Running a screen 1152 x 900, (8 bit, 256 colors),
        PIV-gfx board, P96 gfx system.
All applications running on the WB.

MiamiDx (iconified) consumes about 1 MB (incl. 6 kB Chip Ram)
V (first page of V's HTML manual loaded) needs
about 2.8 MB (incl. 24 kB chip Ram)
YAM needs also about 2.8 MB (incl. 22 kB Chip Ram)

So....

Regards

     NR
