I don't see why not. We have had proper scalable Postscript printing
from programs such as ProPage, PageStream, Publisher, Final Writer, etc
for many years. I use a Postscript laser for all my printing.

The output requirements for a browser are much simpler than from a DTP
program. There is no rotated text, for instance, and no structured
graphics (except in Flash).  The most basic Postscript commands are all 
that is needed.

All that is needed is for the user to specify a set of Type 1 fonts for
output. I wouldn't expect the Vapor team to write a TT to Type 1
converter - this can easily be done in Typesmith.
