No, that doesn't help.

The main problem is to convert the HTML page layout
to the appropriate output format (it's similar like
displaying the pages in a window, but not the same).

On other OS's this is done by the browser,
and it produces the proper format which is then
passed to the printer drivers (GhostScript,....).

So you need a tool/programm code to translate
the HTML source code to the right and formatted
output which then is passed.
(This contains the steps described by Gil,
 and some more of course...)

Nope, sorry. See above.

(GhostScript only converts PS/PDF to other various
 output formats, including various outputs on printers.
