If the smaller text looks crap, in the font settings change
(Template) size Smallest 1 (-2) to ttftemplate/10
any smaller than 10 and it is unreadable (it's not too small, it's
just lines like you say!), took me a while to figure that out but it
is a reproducable problem. Hit reload and text should look ok if
we're discussing the same thing :-)

Hmm, there was a problem in earlier versions with text layout screwed
up in some cases resulting in one long line of text but that's fixed.
