IMO BPlan have the right approach here. The PegasOS board is designed for serious use. I don't know enough about MorphOS to comment on that. However, it may be hard to sell a computer for serious use if it has slow CPUs. The one advantage of the G3 is that it needs no fan - it may be possible to put together a silent Amiga for studio use. But it will be very hard to sell a 600MHz CPU in competition with a 2.2GHz CPU, with all the other advantages of Windows. Windows is designed as a commercial product, to sell at a profit. So was AmigaOS originally. But there is an attitude in Amiga circles nowadays which is more like that in Linux circles - "let's do it as well as possible" rather than "what can we add to increase sales". It's hard to pin down, and Matt may disagree with me, but I find the Amiga world (excluding Amiga Inc) to be more driven by the programmers wanting to do good programming and less by what the marketing department wants. In fact, there isn't a marketing department. (Unless you count characters like Bill Buck, Bill McEwen, and Ryan Czerwinski).
