But the question still stands: why dual boot when you can stay in Windows?
"Find suitable replacements for on Linux" is a lot of work. Who needs it?
The constant upgrade, tweak, f**k up, put back, rework, download from
Aminet, sort out library conflicts.. it was bad enough on the Amiga.
I would think trying to run Linux just to be on that little hillock you
call the moral high ground is more pain that it's worth, for a desktop
box in major use anyway. You'll get so bored of having to spend 6 hours
configuring, recompiling, tweaking the source code and then giving up on
ever running a DVD player.
