Sound's like you never really tried running Linux! ;-)

I'm now running Linux (SuseLinux) longer than 4 years, 
never with big troubles, with XFree, KDE and
all the app's for KDE there's IMHO little need
running Windows (unfortunately I'll have to,
because changing the license for all my
windows prog's to Linux cost's a lot 
(Maple, MatLab, SAP2000,...)).
