Figured it out, didn't have the hosts file setup correctly in the windows directory. We are still working on setting up a DNS/LDAP solution and using a hosts file as an intermediate solution. The default MTU worked fine.

Per a previous email thread I changed the client to ike config push on the General tab and got it to connect and get a tunnel enabled but no traffic is running through the tunnel.
