Hi Everybody My solution was very straightforward.
Open the Kaspersky application. Select Settings (at the bottom of the Kaspersky window) Select Additional. Select Self-Defence and disable it. Install the ShrewSoft VPN client - no error message this time Re-enable Self- Defence.
