Also, I'm not sure exactly how to get the physical file info based on

1.) If you got the files from someone else, there is also possibly a "win32" folder within these files. There you can find the ss.exe tool 2.) Calling ss.exe is easy. Start a command shell (cmd.exe) and set your SSPATH variable to "full:/path/to/your/srcsafe.ini". The simply call "ss physical $/path/to/the/item"

If you don't have ss.exe at hand, you can also get this information out of the "datachache.VssAction.tmp.txt". Here you will find all item pathes with the corresponding phyiscal file.
