I should probably introduce myself to the group before I go and ask a
favor of you. My name is
Darin Minor and I live in Port Townsend. I've been FF and tying for
about 8-9 years now. Most of my fishing is for trout in streams, with
some ventures into the salt, and a couple of steelhead trips this past
winter. I have been intrigued by all this talk about the resident cohos
and would like to see if I can find some up around my area.
What do I look for in terms of a beach to fish (i.e. I've read where SR
cutts like gravelly/rocky beaches)? Do cohos like the same or sandy
beaches? I also need some good patterns (with dressings) to use.
Particualy a good amphipod and clouser patterns. Any and all information
that anybody is willing to give up is greatly appreciated.
