I'm going to be camping in the Leavenworth area this weekend (wife's family
reunion) and would like to do some fishing (avoidance tactics).

We'll be camping along the Peshastin River buy it's closed waters until a
few miles upstream.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good stream/river to try in the
Leavenworth area that's open to fishing?

My wife's uncle is interested in flyfishing and I was going to try and show
him the basics...good excuse to miss the sack races, or whatever.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

PS - The company I work for had it's annual golf tournament at the Trophy
Lake Golf and Casting Club, near Port Orchard, this weekend. This year,
because of the venue, they offered both golfing and flyfishing. I opted
for the fishing tournament. The biggest fish landed in our party was a 27"
rainbow. I landed the most fish, at three rainbows measuring 18", 16 1/2"
and 15 1/2", and lost about 6-7 more. For anyone looking for such a company
outing, Trophy Lake is great. (I am in no way affiliated with Trophy Lake,
they did not ask me to endorse their facility, nor will they pay me for any
such endorsement)
