As Keith mentioned, fish of this size can be found in N.C. WA in lakes the likes of
Aeneas, Bailey etc. I also know of a stream or two that have fish of that size.
Many of the characteristics of the desert lake can also be found in the Okanogan
Highlands but those bodies of water get very little pressure compared to Lenice and
Lenore. Omak Lake currently has held the last 3 state records for Lahotten Cutts but
hardly anyone fishes for them whereas Lenore used to look like like a float tube hatch
during its peak years.
