When your margins start very high and you have organized price fixing (which
is the rule in this industry) you can afford to maintain prices at the same
level for a longer time.

Your comparing the very high end St. Croix rod with the bottom of the line
"Discovery" Sage, I don't know what that proves?  As far as prices go I
don't
know of any other sporting goods industry thats been able hold retail prices
at so called ,"Far Trade" levels for so long.  Theirs a very good book on
this subject,"Serious Flyfishing".
