When I was up in Canada last year I was using these lycra finger stripping
guards.
My hands were pretty chapped from the cold. The finger guard helped
aleviate
some of the problems. I got it from the Burrfish catalog. It is mainly a
saltwater
fishing thing but it certainly helped me. However, the package came in a
set of
three - by the time my three week trip was over they were pretty much
wasted.
