Hi Dave- I was over in Winthrop this last week-end - got snowed on at upper
tifffany lake (7200 feet elev.) & the cold front that came through on Fri.
put a damper on both upper & lower Tiffany. The lower lake is overpopulated
with small brookies & the upper lake has cuts to 14". I fished the methow
from 5 miles below winthrop to just below twisp with poor results. As I was
driving home the water around Carleton looked much better in terms of
holding water than where I was fishin' The shop at mazama is a good source
of info. good luck, bill hamilton
