We were out looking for a rumored late run of silvers lurking in the salt
and stopped off at Cady. There were only a couple other anglers and it was
a beautiful sunlit morning. Luckily, we had our tubes, but we only had one
box of stillwater flies. The fish were working on top. If anyone is going,
I would suggest Parachute Adams, Quigley Cripples and Timberline Emergers
in #14 and #16's. I used a #12 Timberline that I cut down and rose a couple
fish and landed an 18" fish. I broke off the only #16 Parachute Adams on a
very large fish. I caught a 24 incher on a #12 Parachute Adams which I know
was too large. Do a long leader and dryline making long casts with
twitching, vee wake retrieves.

Leland.
