i have done the same, but used a color laser to print the labels so nothing
came off.  It worked out well.  I used a deep burgandy with clear letters so
the brown blank showed through and created the letters.  Seal it up like the
wraps and it been good for 5 years now.  I just used the clear Avery files
tabs for labels
