As designer of the long-awaited Washington Flyfisher web site, this
thread is a terrific opportunity for me to plug the company that has
kindly agreed to provide hosting services for our site at a
substantial discount.
Internet Services of Washington (ISW) is a Kirkland, WA-based company
that provides Internet access for business clients of their larger
parent company ICS Support. Although not widely promoted, ISW offers
dial-up and broadband access to the general public and has generously
offered a special rate to WAFF list subscribers.
ISWnet's Consumer/Home Office DialupPro 56kb program is normally
$19.95 and includes two email addresses and unlimited access at no
additional charge. As a special offer to WAFF subscribers, ISW will
provide the same service for just $15.95.
Unlike most local Internet Services Providers (ISPs) whose customer
base is limited by their local toll-free calling area, ISW customers
can dial in from just about anywhere in Washington or across the
nation using their network of over 1,100 local-access phone numbers.
These are not good times for one-trick pony ISPs which are failing or
merging in record numbers as they try to offer customers rock-bottom
pricing while their costs continue to rise. Independent broadband DSL
providers such as Covad and Rhythms are under substantial earnings
pressure and have curtailed or cut services drastically to remain
afloat. With a distinctly different business model, ISW is much less
susceptible to the market forces affecting other ISPs.
For more information on ISW, visit their site at http://www.iswnet.com.
To subscribe, call Chris Faist at 425.820.6120 extension 809 or send
him an email at mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]. Make sure to mention
that you're a WAFF subscriber.
Your interest and support of ISW will help remind them they made the
right decision to host our new web site.
