I made a crude adaptor for tying tubes, but can't remember exactly what it
was. I tied a bunch, and then never used them, as I considered them more
for salmon than steelhead and I just don't do too much salmon fishing. It
was a steel rod that was flat on one end and would clamp in my vise (a
regal) Somehow ,a sizable bait fish imitator, that is quite visable, with a
small stinger hook aft, and can be casted on a lighter rod than one with a
hook that long, makes good sense to me. Jere (another subject) I've
come up with an easy to tie, spinner pattern, that is visible, if anyone
wants to hear it. I seldom used spinners on the coast, but expect to over
here in Idaho. Jere
