I read a post on ROFF a while back where a guy uses, I believe, 3 mm stainless steel welding rods. He cuts them into the length he wants then heats up and flattens the ends. He then drills a hole in each end, ties his flies on the rod and attaches small split rings to each end. One split ring gets a hook and the other tied to the tippet. He says that these things really sink. Not exactly a tube fly but I just thought that I'd share it with everyone. Hope all had a happy Thanksgiving.
