Had a chance to sneak out to Amber for two hours this morning. Fishing was
slow by Amber standards. Only two fish in that time and one other strike.
Lots of midges coming off and the fish were really attacking the emergers.
Didn't have an emerger pattern so don't know if that would have changed
things or not.

On a side note, one of the fish I caught was a pen raised triploid. Fattest
fish I have ever seen. About 18 inches and well over 2 pounds. Fish was so
fat it could hardly swim. He made two nice jumps and then tuckered out
really fast. I got him in right away and still had to work him a bit to get
him to swim off. These net pen fish must have the endurance of the taxi
driver that eats donuts and smokes all day, haha. I have caught many
triploids that are absolute nuts to try and control. These are obviously
their fat, out of shape brothers.
