Whirling disease (was: MT/ID/WY report)

I'm intrigued by Andy's comment about whirling disease at Rock Creek. 
I'm thinking about a trip there later this fall and was been 
wondering about precautions to avoid contamination.

As a larger question though, what's the status of the disease here in 
Washington and/or surrounding states?
