I just received an email from a friend from Yakima who put me in touch with
his fishing friend here in Idaho Falls. The guy is super savvy on fishing
the local waters and the South Fork especially. I told him about my riffle
fishing and he responded by saying that it looks like I've honed in on the
action and where it is at, but, he went on to say, "ask Kent,(the fellow
here in Idaho Falls) about fishing near and after dark, skating a steelhead
caddis in those riffles I fish during the day." They had fantastic fishing
skating big caddis patterns at that time. He said that the big fish move
into feed then and lose caution, and it is very similar to steelhead fishing
in the take and fight. I just loaded my trout box with my steelhead
skaters. Jere
