I think that the decision by the WDFW was a very good one for several reasons.  When 
the water gets low and the temp goes up, the oxygen goes down and the survival rate of 
a stressed fish goes down.  There is no reason to be fishing for the Kings on the 
Stilly, they are to be protected.  Anyone who desires to "catch" or snag, as some will 
do, by using methods that resemble gear fishing under the guise of flyfishing (20 to 
25' mono attached to a fly line) should be ticketed.  This, in my opinion is just as 
bad as putting split shots on your leader.  This isn't flyfishing, it is simply gear 
fishing with a fly!

If you find that you can no longer fish on the Stilly maybe it's time to reevaluate 
your methods!
