I cannot answer on laconner, but...

I have a place on the Port Susan side of Camano Island.  Woke up yesterday AM to watch 
the sun
rise.  The fish were VERY active.  Tide was out, and they were jumping.  I would say 
not 2 minutes
went by that something large (too far away to identify what) jumped.  They were all in 
about 8
feet of water, and close to some smaller bottom hugging kelp and weeds -- No large 
floating stuff.
