Okuma reels do tend to run about 1 size small. My suggestion would be
either the Sierra model 10/11 (6 oz)
http://www.okumafishing.com/products/reels/sierra/sierra.htm or the large
arbor Integrity model 10/11 (8.5 oz)
http://www.okumafishing.com/products/reels/integrity/integrity.htm The
Sierra can be had for about $45 and the Integrity for closer to $60. If it
were me I'd go with the Integrity. The extra weight shouldn't be a big
issue with a monster rod and might actually help in terms of counter
balance.

good luck Jim,

Keith

Subject: Okuma Reels

Hi Everyone

I just bought a 13' Reddington 8/9 wt spey rod and I'm going
to put a Windcutter with interchangeable tips on it. My
question....does Okuma (sp?) make a reel big enough to
handle the 9 wt Windcutter?

I have a Medalist 1595 1/2 but I'm told that only the 1598
has the capacity. Any suggestions?
