well....lots of comments about sharing your "special places"  i know what you mean....your own little find, stalked by so many people. i have to agree about getting a little too specific...cause you tend to cut your own throat!!! ussually the people who tend to give their "spots" away are guides...but they got a return from their info.  well me and my fishing buddies really dont give up accurate info...we worked a spot to find the fish...spent days or hrs finding it.  we will tell people where we went. but NOT Exactly WHERE!!!!  i am not in washington yet...but will be soon.  i love the reports...they dont have to be accurate...i just want to know where i can catch trout and where access points are, and what to use.  being out is the main thing....and you really get a sense of accomplishment when you do catch fish and had to find the exact spot yourself.  well...now a little story.  i lived ! in the suburbs of chicago. went out on a forest preserve lake....plenty of people there...all the time.  well i spent many days on the lake.  and finnally found the "hot" spot.  but it only produced for the last 2 hrs b4 sunset.  now this lake was full of bobber fisherman and big plug throwers.  i was using an ultra lite spinning rod...with a white twister tail on a plain jig head (which i never let anyone see!!!!)  i have went out after work and caught as many as 40 fish in an hour and a half there. well i went out at 6pm on labor day...man was it packed.  i walked out to my spot...sure enough there was an old gent there in the middle of my spot with a bobber...been there all day ...without a bite.  so of course i was upset.  but i made the best of it.  i started fishing a little down from him say 100 ft.  well i started catching crappie after crappie...fishing in a semi circle from the shore.   guess what? &nbs! p;he kept moving closer...and closer. until i could only fish straight out or to my left (left wasnt the place)  this lake had a rock drop off you couldnt see..and the fish where on the edge of it.  well he was like 10 feet away...and i got snagged on the ledge and had to break off.  so i moved away from the shoreline a few feet like 3 ft.  and sat down to retie.  guess what happened when i turned around?  he was standing right where i was!!!  ohh was i pissed!!  then i realized....he wasnt in the honey hole anymore!!  so i just walked over 100ft to it.  1st cast i made i caught a 20" walleye...he ran over was asking if i was gonna keep it...i let it go right in front of him....picked up my rod and said.  well ill catch him again tomorrow..i know you wont !!  and i walked away!!!   kevin s
