Kent,

I would definitely be interested in your Klickitat report. A friend of mine
fishes that river and has mentioned to me that I should come down and go
fishing with him. By reading about your experiences, I might be able to
prepare myself better for a future outing.

Subject: Lurkers

I admit that I have turned into a "lurker". when I first came onto this
list I was posting pretty often. Mostly on the Klickatat river, Oregon's
cascade lakes and a few lakes in the basin.
I stopped reporting on the basin lakes & Oregon's lakes simply because other
people on this list had (in my opinion}much better information and more
variances on what to use and how to fish these waters. So I figured it
would be better if I held off on my post and learned something from more
diversified fly fishers.
As far as the Klickatat goes, I guess I got the impression that with the
most of the fishermen on this list are on the west side of the cascades,
their wasn't much interest in the Klick. I feeling now that it was a wrong
conclusion. For that I am sorry to all of you.
I'm not able to get down their as much now because of my love for Hunting.
What I am going to do however is go back over all my Klickatat notes from
this last summer and fall, and post one good sized report on my luck and
findings on that river.
I will say this that when I started stealheading on that river I did alot of
nymphing, now I tend to swing through the holes first, then go to nymphing.
This method although very time consuming has brought many steelhead to the
net.
Well thats all for now, but I promise their is more to come. Just hope
hearing about the Klick doesn't bore anyone, because I think I'm the about
the only one on this list that fishes it. Its along way out of the way from
most places. Almost as much as the GR.
Latter,
Kent Dowd
