Dink components

OK ya'll I finally found some dink components at The Morning Hatch in Tacoma.  I made my first popper and as always there is a lot of room for improvement.  My question is the dink component is elongated on one end, does longer portion go on top of the hook or underneath.  Granted the size difference isn't much (1/8"). Just curious.   Thanks, Flig
