Anyone have a can't miss scud pattern for rocky ford that they are willing to share?
I'll start with a fishing report - fished RF today - weather was in the high 30's, light rain, little wind, low angling pressure. The fish were really on the scuds (my is that was what they were taking out of the weeds in the upper section.) The problem, is that in spite of several years of playing with many variations of scud patterns - fuzzy back, clipped back, epoxy back, sandwich bag, mylar, flashabou, crystal flash, scudback material etc (I am sure i missed a few), I have yet to hit upon a pattern that takes rocky ford fish when they are honed in on scuds with any consitency. Today was one of my poorest outings over there in several years with only two LDR's. Saw lot's of actively feeding fish, but just did not have the pattern. I spent a lot of time seining and have good belief that I was in the right territory with the color and size range (fished from 18's - 10's), but had way to much indifference from the local denizens. Thanks in advance for the suggestions... Andy
