I regularly fish orange scuds when I'm in the Kamploops area. My favorite is
the Baggie shrimp. I learned to tie this many years ago and have used it
with great success in either olive or orange. I have never had much luck
with pink though.

To tie this I cut a 1/16" wide strip off the bottom of a baggie a little
longer than the length of the hook shank plus the eye. This will give me a
piece of plastic that is doubled over at the bottom crease of the bag. I tie
on the thread at down the bend of the hook with about 10" of thread left as
a tag. I then tie on the baggie by wrapping it over the thread and laying it
on the back of the hook. I then dub on a seal body in the color I want up to
the eye. Now lay the baggie over the back to make the shell and palmer the
tag thread up to the eye and whip finish it off. Pluck out a few guard hairs
and you have a good scud.

I found that often the scuds in lakes will turn orange or partially orange
when they are pregnant and the fish will often key on them over the olive
ones.
