Just my 2-cents re Rock Creek.

My favorite area is the stretch just below the forks (don't recall that bridge name).  It seeems like every time I've fished it I've had 20-fish-plus afternoons there.  I'm always amazed at how well that river grows cutts and browns.  Even if the flows are up a bit on the lower river I would expect that the wading/fishing opportunities on the upper river would be good.  The caddis hatches are awesome - but my favorite trip there was in August when I got to throw a hopper most of the day.  Nice, river-strong browns on a dry fly, does it get any bettter?

Subject: Rock Creek, MT

Hello there,

Saw a post in the last couple of days about Montana fishing which mentioned that Rock Creek was running a little high. Does anyone know if that's still the case? I'll be over there (north of Missoula) next week and I was thinking about trying Rock Creek or the Little Blackfoot. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Cliff
