It is a DanVise New Classic Vise form BT's Fly Fishing Products.  Don't feel it is the problem.  R

What vice are you using????  I have not had a problem with breakage of tiemco's

I have straighten a few when using excessive pressure.  I just bent them back and

caught several more fish on them.  The only time I break a small hook in the vice is when I use my regal vice and the bend of the hook tries to conform the notch designed for large hooks
