Me thinks that there was a bad heat treat of hooks and this will "flush" thru the retail system. It happens. CPB

(under duress) it seems funny to break them 'cause the 9761 is 2x heavy.
the theory that the hook gets caught in the groove for the larger hook
makes sense to me. not much help eh? bill

Bill, tell us your secret with TIEMCO 16 nymph hooks. Seems like some of
us
are having the same type of problem. R

sounds like you have a bad batch-I'd take 'em back & get the hooks
replaced-haven't had a problem like that with tmc in the 10 years I've
been
using 'em     bill

Subject: Umpqua, TIEMCO Hooks

Happy Holidays to all,
I've been tieing up some nymphs on Upmqua hook, 3761SP-BL's, 16's 2X
Heavy,
1X long nymph hooks and 2 out of 3 break off in the vice. They are
barbless. I have been careful not to set the vice too tight as I have
had
problems with UPMQUA hooks before. Anyone else have this problem?
Thks,
R
