I printed out a page of “ideas” for my wife from the feather-craft catalogue.  The thing I use the most, is the “Bobbin Wheel”

http://www.feather-craft.com/2004XMAs/fcpage.asp?page=15

It is is a cool little gadget which you could make yourself, now that I look at it, and save the $20.00 (but that is what presents are for)

What is cool about it is that I use an automatic bobbin when I tie with my rotary vise (from Norlander) which REALLY

saves having to rewind the thread from the bobbin rest after winding on your chenille or whatever.

At any rate it is a great place to hang my bobbins without the thread retracting onto the reel (which I have allowed to have happen far too many times).

I can also keep 3-0, 6-0, and 8-0 bobbins loaded and hanging.  Just one of those nice simple things that makes tying less frustrating and helps keep things a little more organized

(I built a fly tying bench in a closet so there isn’t a lot of room.

Subject: Get anything great for _______mas?

Now that the Holidays are over, did you all get what you wanted for ______mas? (have to be politically correct nowadays), or whatever holiday it is that you observe. Me, I got enough money to buy either a nice rod or reel. Haven't decided which to get at this point. Since all seems to be dead on this board lately, maybe a discussion of actual presents, or of ones we are going to purchase would be in order. Has anyone been out and tried out thier new presents?

Roger
