Hello again! OK, found the messages file, duplicated & put the copy on my back-up drive. Went to original & binned a stack of messages, plus a load of attachments that I had saved to disk as well.
Size of new message file - exactly the same as the old one, 295Mb, which is why I am trying to do something about it! Can some one explain this one. Also if I try & open the message file all I get is a new e-mail window in OE - can some one explain this one as well please? How exactly is the while thing working? If I want to switch to Entourage can I just move the entire id folder into the office 2001 id folder & replace the main id folder therein? thank you Angus
