Received an email from a Real Estate agent with an embedded gif and it froze
Entourage. Happened in OS9 AND OSX running Ent. In Classic mode. Then
Entourage wouldn't even quit in 10.2, and Mac had trouble with soft restart
so I restarted (G4/450 SP running 10.2.3)using restart button.
Now iTunes 3 and Safari won't work. (iPhoto and Explorer will). The dock has
lost the icons that I put in there. Anyone have any ideas what to do? Is
there a preference file or something that I delete?
Check that you've still got lots of hard drive space free (100Mb or
so is usually good), or try freeing up some space and see if it
improves. Losing dock icons is a symptom of the prefs file not being
written due to low hard drive space (or something else happening).
Sadly it happens to my machine all the time :)
