Hi folks, Have acquired a Powerbook 14cs/166 using an external modem (Hayes Accura) on system 8.5. When connecting by PPP get error message ' The connection attempt fails: the port may be used by another application.......'. Should Appletalk be on or off...have tried both ways? Any comment appreciated. Dennis
