Yeppo - we have one of these hooked up to our PowerMac G4/800DP at work. The main scanning program runs in Classic mode, but works without a hitch. As Phil has also pointed out, a lot of the Canon scanners don't need an external power supply, and run directly off the USB power so they're ultra-convenient!

The scanning software itself isn't too bad, but I normally import the scanned image directly to Photoshop for retouching.

Cheers,
Darren.

Hi All,

I am considering the purchase of a LIDE 30 Canon scanner which,
according to my research, seems to have the necessary drivers for
OSX. If there is anybody already using this particular scanner I
would very much appreciate receiving your views about it.

Thanks.
Bob
