Another way to fix, is to select and highlight all the cells in question,
and copy into a text editor (using <ctrl> x and  <ctrl> v) then select in
text editor and paste back into excel. I use notepad on a pc to do this, I
would use something like simple text or equiv. on a Mac. Then it looses all
formatting :o)
