You can also check the serial number online at <http://serial.apple.com.au> and see what history it has had. If the receipt is marked second hand, does NextByte have a second hand reseller licence? If it is marked demo on the receipt, then you are kind of stuck. If your receipt does not say it is a second hand or demo laptop, then you have every right to take it further with Fair Trading (or whoever they are called these days). Geez, you would think they would at least have the commonsense to put the right CDs in the box, with a power adapter, and give it a clean! Seeya Rod!
