If an effort was made by all to at least acknowledge postings I think
more people would feel welcome on this list and contribute more.
Please no, this would not help, I cannot think of anything more
frustrating when I have a problem than to be bombarded with replies
saying 'sorry to hear you have a problem but I have nothing to offer'.
Lets just share what we can when we can and accept that sometimes we all
know as much about something as everyone else and might not get any
replies.
I agree.
At the very beginning just about anyone could have successfully helped
me, and they did.
However as my usage grew in my own particular direction, my probs
quickly became unique to myself.
I soon became the *world's leading authority* on my own situation.
It was a surprise at first that no one else could effectively help me
but if they had asked me about their own situation I would have been
equally stumped myself.
To be honest I tend to pick up more 'gems' from anecdotal stuff anyway.

If someone posts something that goes unnoticed there may be a reason.
It may be the post itself, the question may not be clear or more info is
required etc.
Please, if this happens to you, don't be shy, or worse offended or
embarrassed, have another chop at it.
If someone is sarcastic or flippant you should probably take it as it
was meant; lightly.
Try to see it as a prompt to delve deeper into your *own unique* situation.

An icky example:
The Bum Wiping Machine.
It may seem handy (scuse the pun;) but I'm sure doing it yourself is the
best way to go in the long run ;o)
New Years Cheers every one and stay safe and happy.
