Hi all! Heard the hype about Skype?
The telco companies will be in for a huge battle over the next few years with VoIP technology set to boom. Skype's version of Voice over Internet Protocol software is now about to be become standard on some mobile handsets with the i-mate brand becoming one of the first to have this software pre-installed. These phones use Microsoft's Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PCs and have both GSM/GPRS and Wi-Fi wireless LAN capability. With Skype software, you make the calls over a broadband internet connection through a Wi-Fi network, bypassing the provider of the GSM/GPRS service. Skype makes the peer-to-peer VoIP softgware which allows free calls over the internet. The Luxembourg based company's SkypeOut service also allows users to make calls around the world to fixed lines and mobiles at a fraction of the cost of conventional international calls. Last year Skype joined with Siemens to offer a USB adapter device for some of their cordless phones that allowed users to make Skype calls. For further information, check our the details at the following web site: http://www.skype.com/ In the market for a second hand iMac? - I've been presented with an opportunity to offer a number of iMac 500Mhz machines with 20GB drives running 10.2, along with 350Mhz iMac's with 6GB drives also running 10.2. The target price we are trying to achieve on these is $375 and $250 respectively, but if you are willing to purchase more than 1, we would look at $350 and $225 each (or nearest offer of course). At this stage I am taking 'expressions of interest' to see if there is enough interest and ask that you send any emails relating to these iMac's through to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Check out this new product from LaCie - it not only burns the DVD, but burns an image or label as well. How cool is that!
