So in eyeTV get it to output into dv then this can be imported directly into DVDSP or iMovie(FCP) advantage of this method editing footage. Compressor will be capable of converting dv to mpeg but read further.


I'll give the DV route a go and see what happens. Unfortunately it takes a lot longer to encode a dv stream rather than just demux the current mpeg2 stream :-( Kind of defeats the purpose of quickly throwing together a dvd to watch on tv! I guess I can watch the show on the computer and see whether it is worth archiving.
