I am not sure about the number of problems some users appear to be having -
Apple has not issued any recalls or Logic board fixes to my knowledge.
However, from my very limited experience of purchasing a single iMac G5 17"
the machine has performed flawlessly - I'd recommend it anytime.

Bought 4 in October 2004, had one fail.
I would expect that now as you'd be buying a second revision machine
that the problem would have been rectified. (Never buy the first
revision :)
