I have 'leave on server for one week' option on mail at work and at
home. That way, I get all emails on both machines. If I want to
delete the mail, I can go in via one of my machines and hit delete
from server now.
It means I have copies of emails I want to keep on both machines.

I use Eudora here at home with a POP3 setup.
I also have an account at work (Outlook). I could always run
Eudora at work (XP) if that makes things better / more reliable.
The problem seems to be even with some good "forwarding" filters I
don't always get / have access to important e-mail while I'm at work.
I'm considering changing over to IMAP and setting all the misc,
non work related stuff to be downloaded from the server
immediately (at home) leaving the other stuff on the server making
it accessible from both ends.
Anyone got some recommendations / comments before I do the switch?
I always seem to see reports of IMAP stuffups.
Personally I use POP and set one account to 'leave mail on
server' (the work machine) and the other to pull the mail off the
server (the home machine). This means you know the canonical copy
of all your mail is at home. You just need to make sure you've quit
Eudora at home before you go to work (or you could set the home
machine to 'leave on server for 5 days' or something).
Have fun,
