Many thanks for the advice I received. My problem is now fixed in that I've
been able to get the modem to save all the settings successfully.

I did not that increasing the size of the MTU can help in cases where some
sites could be downloaded and others not. Thanks Ronni.

A big thank you to WestNet also who were quick in response and very
'professional'. Good service all round.
