Hi Kevin, Once you've booted from a DVD (or CD), if you launch Disk Utility, does it sees the Drive at all?
Sounds like the drive may not be working, or the connection cable is perhaps loose. I'm sure one of our experts will come with an explanation and solution. What OS are you installing on the machine?
