My wife has used Sound Edit 16 for years to cut music. It runs on System 9. It is very simple and intuitive. She just purchased a new imac and would like to run it on native intel but it was discontinued by Macromedia in 2004. Is there a program that cuts music in a simple way like this program?

Thanks!

There are several, but fpr me the easiest to use are Amadeus II (HairerSoft) and Fission (Rogue Amoeba). Both are commercial products (but not expensive) and available from VersionTracker.

The nice thing about these two is that they both offer a very easy way to detect breaks between tracks, and will cut music almost automatically.
